Bergenfest – music festival since 1994
The first post here is about the Bergen Fest 2013 (12-15.o6) which will take place in Bergenhus fortress. Actually it is the biggest, as I think, event in Bergen with popular music. This year the organizers decided to split the whole fun into two (connected, but still…) shows. The “normal” and the LOUD one.
During the “normal” part you can see and hear artists like:
Amy Macdonald, Band of Horses, Biffy Clyro, CC Cowboys, Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires, Dan Croll, Dig Deeper, Empty Bottles Broken Hearts, Hoffmaestro, Imagine Dragons, Jamie Cullum, John Grant, Johnossi, Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, Larry and His Flask, Lissie, Mark Knopfler, Melody’s Echo Chamber, Mew, Mikhael Paskalev, Moulettes, Naomi Shelton And The Gospel Queens, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Noah and the Whale, Razika, Real Ones, Rival Sons, Scott Matthews, Simone Felice, Steve Earle & The Dukes, Storm Weather Shanty Choir, Susanne Sundfør, The Two Man Gentlemen Band, The Two Man Gentlemen Band, The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain and Tønes.
NOTE: Entrance to Bergen Fortress is limited to those above 18 years of age unless accompanied by a guardian.
In the LOUD section (Saturday, 15th of July 2013) you can check metal bands like Polish Behemoth, Swedish Cult of Luna and Grand Magus plus Norwegian legend from Bergen – Immortal.
